Four friends take off on an 1800 mile road trip to retrieve an illicit tape mistakenly mailed to a girl friend.

In the summer of 2006, four friends from San Diego, set out on a mission to expose the atrocities being done to the people of Burma, specifically, the Karen people. One of the countries largest ethnic groups. Burma is a closed country known for strong penalties including imprisonment for people found inside its borders without the proper documentation. However, they knew that in order to capture the story they needed, they would need to sneak across the border. With backpacks filled with borrowed film equipment they set out without a clue of how they would break inside a countryside filled with landmines and Burmese soldiers. They didn t know what they would find, or if anyone would listen to their story when they returned.

The teenagers Marcus, Liz, Craig and Nina are camping in the remote outback of Australia. While driving on the road, a road train crashes on their car that leaves the road in a serious accident. The quartet survives and Craig breaks his arm, but their car is totally wrecked. However they see the train truck parked on road and Marcus and Liz walk to the vehicle to ask for help. They do not find the driver and soon Craig and Nina arrive. When they see the driver shooting at them, they decide to carjack the road train. Soon they begin to act strange possessed by some evil force.

High Road showcases a totally improvised script about Glenn "Fitz" Fitzgerald (James Pumphery), a young man whose loyalties are split among his band, his girlfriend Monica (Abby Elliott) and selling weed. After his band breaks up, Fitz finds himself dealing pot out of his garage and bonding with a rebellious 16-year-old Jimmy (Dylan O Brien). As his former band mates (Zach Woods, Matt L. Jones, Lizzy Caplan) find success and one of his drug deals goes awry, Fitz and Jimmy hit the road. Amid guns, broken bones, sassy cabbies, rude hookers, and a suspicious doctor (Horatio Sanz), Fitz has to navigate their way to safety-and he doesn t even know about the surprise Monica has in store for him back home!

The treacherous Alaskan ice road becomes the setting for a deadly pursuit inthis suspenseful thriller. Unbeknownst to them, blasting at the mine has awakened a long-dormant prehistoric creature.
